{NEWS} 110129 – MBLAQ’s G.O – SISTAR’s Hyorin – Infinite’s Sunggyu, Show Explosive Singing Skills on ‘Sketchbook’

The singing skills of lead vocals in idol groups, have been revealed.

During the ‘Touch’ corner of ‘Yoo Heeyeol’s Sketchbook’, aired on the 29th on KBS 2TV, MBLAQ’s G.O, SISTAR’s Hyorin, and Infinite’s Sunggyu were invited as the lead vocals from idol groups. On this, they showed stages that couldn’t be seen before on broadcasts.




The ‘Touch’ corner is where Yoo Heeyeol and Lucid Fall introduce stories and the guest singer sings a song for the person who sent in the story. On this day, the lead vocals from idol groups, specially came and gifted a song for the 3 stories.

MBLAQ’s G.O started off by saying “it feels weird to come alone after always coming as five people”, and “this is a song I always practiced during my trainee days”, then passionately sang Kim Gunmo’s ‘Regret’. SISTAR’s Hyorin appeared with feverish responses from her uncle/samchon fans, and ambitiously showed her singing skills with Park Kiyoung’s ‘Confession’.

Following this, Infinite’s Sunggyu said, “Our team has two vocals, me and Woohyun, and to come out here, we did rock-paper-scissors. I came out here because I won.” Then he attracted attention by singing the story owner’s request of Jang Hyejin’s ‘One Late Night in 1994’.

G.O, Hyorin, and Sunggyu have only shown dance songs as an idol group member, but they showed off fresh singing skills of a lead vocal on ‘Sketchbook’, receiving the positive responses from the audience.

After the airing, viewers sent in reactions like, “Today’s ‘Touch’ was as touching as it was unexpected.”, “It seems like there was a prejudice opinion about idol groups. Everyone sang so well”, “I would be happy if there another stage like this.”
